Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ pounds of Salmon Fillets
  • ½ cup Sake
  • ½ cup Soy Sauce
  • ½ cup Mirin
  • 2 tbsp finely grated Fresh Ginger
  • ¼ cup White Sugar
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • Olive Oil
  • A dash of Red Chili Pepper Flakes

Sake Ginger Glazed Salmon

Method:

In order to prepare Sake Ginger Glazed Salmon, you first need to mix soy sauce, sake, ginger, garlic, chili flakes, sugar and mirin in a bowl. Also, place salmon fillets in a freezer bag and pour the marinade into the freezer bag with the fish. Make sure to seal the freezer bag and place it in a baking dish and then in a refrigerator to chill for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Next step is to grill by removing the salmon from the bag and reserving the marinade. Place the salmon on the grill grate and cook the salmon for 10-20 minutes. Alternatively, you may also, heat some olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and drain the salmon reserving the marinade. Now, fry the salmon 4 to 5 minutes per side while basting it with the marinade in between.

Your Sake Ginger Glazed Salmon is now ready to be served hot.
