Grilled Northern King Prawn

When it comes to the matter of seafood, then how can yummy and tasty prawn be forgotten? But making deep fried prawn recipes can sometimes be eyebrow-raiser for health watcher.

So for food lover and health freak eater, Grilled Northern King Prawn is the best option. This food item falls under modern Australian cuisine. It takes very less time, even lesser than thirty minutes to get cooked.

Below is the recipe for serving of 6. It can be prepared and served in entrée, lunch and as main or side dish or finger food by using the following ingredients:

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 green king prawns
  • 4 cornichons, finely sliced
  • 4 large anchovy fillets, sliced
  • 1 shallot, sliced
  • 4 small iceberg lettuces (hearts only)
  • 4 caperberries
  • 1 teaspoon lemon thyme
  • 1 tablespoon aioli or good mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • pinch chilli flakes
  • pinch black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chardonnay vinegar
  • lemon wedges, to serve
  • sea salt
  • salt and pepper

Method of cooking

  • Firstly, put a metal or bamboo skewer through the length of the prawns.
  • Then oil the prawns very lightly
  • Keep it on a preheated grill,
  • Then keep on cooking on both sides until it gets lightly cooked and charred.
  • While serving the prawn, put it on a serving plate and sprinkle with chilli flakes, lemon wedges, pepper, a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and sea salt.
  • Then Rub the aioli on the base of a plate.
  • Make a Slice of the hearts into quarters
  • After that, place on the aioli followed by sprinkling the rest of the salad ingredients over the lettuce.
  • At the time of serving, add together the vinegar and oil
  • Lastly, drizzle over the salad.
