For those of you seeking to know in depth about gin, the search ends here. In case, you don’t know what is gin, then let us tell you that it is a spirit with a flavor derived from juniper berries. Gin is available in different styles like distilled gin and compound gin.

Distilled gin is made in a traditional manner by redistilling neutral spirit of juniper berries and other botanicals. On the other hand, compound gin is prepared by flavoring neutral spirit with essences. Then, there is a London dry gin, which is the most common type of gin. Gin

For parties and different occasions, you can prepare cocktails with gins like Allen, Gin and Juice, Gin Fizz, Gin Bucket, Gin Rockey, Gimlet, Dead Baby Boy, 20thCentury, Gin Rickey, Salty Dog, Pink Gin, Fallen Angel, Old Etonian, London Mule, The Last Word and Gin and Tonic.

Gin was first introduced in the 11th century by the Italian monks. It derived its name from the French genievre or the Dutch jenever that meant, Juniper. Bulldog Gin, Beefeater, BOLS Damrak, Greenall’s, Taaka, Cork Dry Gin, Gordon’s, Uganda Waragi, Gilbey’s Gin and Damrak are some popular brands of gin.
