tequila

Not just the name, even the taste of the Tequila drink is amazing. Considered as a Mexican beverage, Tequila is mainly made in the area around the city called, Tequila that is about 40 miles northwest of Guadalaraja.

Made of just 38-40% alcohol, Tequila is a drink that goes perfect with any sort of meal. More than the drink itself, it is the way in which it is drank that makes Tequila popular. The way to drink this superb drink is in shots, also known as Tequila Shots.

Tequila shots are taken by first moistening the area between the index finger and the thumb while keeping the palm down and the thumb coming outwards. Then, some salt is poured on the palm and a lime slice is kept. You then, lick the salt and sip the Tequila in one shot.

Anejo and Extra Anejo are the two main types of Tequila drinks. Tequila is popularly served iced cold and can also be mixed in cocktails. When mixed in cocktails, it forms another exotic drink called, Margarita.
