All about Fenny Drink

ooo If you have ever visited Goa in India, you would have surely heard or even tasted the famous Goan drink called Fenny. Made of either coconut or the juice of the cashew apple, this Indian drink spells magic on the drinker with its exotic taste. Also known as Feni, Fenny originated in Goa and till date is counted as a specialty of this beach destination in India.

Reals, Bog Boss and Cashyo are some of the popular Fenny brands that are popular among those who like drinking this natural drink. As told before, there are two types of fenny drinks, one is made of coconut and the other is made of cashew. The first one is prepared from the sap of the coconut palm and the other is prepared from the cashew fruit.

Fenny drink contains 42% of alcohol by volume. According to a survey, at present, there are around 4000 traditional mini-distilleries in Goa that indulge in manufacturing cashew fenny drink and around 2,200 distilleries that manufacture coconut fenny drink.
