Crab Cakes Recipe

Want to experiment a new recipe with crabs? Then, go ahead and do make Crab Cakes like I did and you will keep on making them time and again. Serve these cakes to your guests and you will be filled with compliments for your cooking talent.

Ingredients

12 oz. Dungeness crab meat, cleaned

1/2 cup chopped potato chips and chips for crusting the cakes

3 tbsp Canola oil

3 tbsp Mayonnaise

2 tbsp Fresh chives, chopped
2 tbsp Red peppers, chopped and sautéed
2 dashes Tabasco sauce
Juice from 1/4 fresh lemon
Cracked white pepper to taste

Method

To make Crab cakes, you first need to pick the crab meat and ensure that there is no bone or cartilage in it. Now, the next step would be to mix the remaining ingredients and seasoning according to the taste. Remember not to over mix the ingredients with the crab.

After this form the mixture into 3 oz. cakes and dust them lightly with crushed potatoes chips. Once this is done, sauté the prepared caked in a shallow pan over medium heat till the cakes are golden brown. Then, bake the cakes in an oven at 350 degree F for about 5 minutes.
